This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, storage, and processing of customer and transaction data when you use our websites, mobile applications, and POS devices.

2. Data We Collect

We collect information strictly necessary to provide reliable restaurant management services:

• Restaurant Profile: Business name, legal entity, EIN / state tax identification, store addresses, contact details.
• Transaction Records: Orders placed, items sold, billing timestamps, tender methods (cash, card, contactless Apple Pay), tax computations.
• Hardware Telemetry: Device identifiers, OS versions, printer status, network connectivity logs for offline sync validation.
• Guest CRM (Controlled by Operator): Phone numbers and dietary notes recorded by waitstaff at the instruction of diners.

3. We Never Sell Diner or Restaurant Data

Your sales figures, guest order histories, recipe costs, and ingredient margins belong exclusively to you. Nimki does not sell, broker, or monetize your restaurant data to third parties, delivery aggregators, or predatory marketing agencies.

4. Data Encryption & Security

All data transmitted between your POS terminals and our cloud servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Stored databases are protected with AES-256 encryption at rest. Regular automated snapshots prevent data loss during power disruptions.
